This course introduces students to the art of lymphatic work, with a specific focus on post-operative care for the stomach, back, and lower extremities. Lymphatic Drainage Massage is highly beneficial for individuals recovering from surgery, those suffering from edema, or those actively toning and detoxifying their bodies. It is a valuable addition to the skill set of massage therapists working in both therapeutic and spa environments. The application of lymphatic drainage involves a specialized brushing technique to stimulate lymphatic flow and drainage. This technique may be used independently or in conjunction with other bodywork modalities to create a personalized, client-centered approach.

Through video demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants will master a client-centered approach that addresses the unique needs of post-op clients. The course also emphasizes proper body mechanics and self-care for practitioners. Upon completion, students will be equipped with the skills to confidently perform post-op lymphatic drainage massage for the stomach, back and lower extremities, and to educate clients about the benefits and expectations of treatment. 

In this self-paced, online class, students are required to demonstrate their understanding of the protocol by recording themselves performing the techniques and answering assessment questions.
